ACTING JOURNEY
Rio Rasch is a bilingual American/German actor born and raised between the United States and Germany. Growing up in an extremely artistic and creative family and community, he began performing at a very young age. He is currently completing his BFA in Acting at California Institute of the Arts. Through rigorous acting training, he has developed a passion for contemporary and classical work, particularly for Shakespeare and Chekhov. Rio’s love for this craft is born out of a deep desire to authentically embody characters and share meaningful stories on stage and on screen. His recent performances include The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (directed by Tramaine Raphael Gray), The Seven Deadly Sins (directed by Chi-wang Yang), and the devised piece Wealth & Hellness directed by Luna Izpisua Rodriguez. On-screen, he has appeared in the short film Blink Twice and Janelle Feng’s animated short La Mort de Robespierre, alongside numerous music videos such as I Just Wanna, and No Therapy for acclaimed German DJ/Producer Felix Jaehn. When not performing, you will catch Rio working on graphic design projects, singing, exploring nature, and hunting for mid-century modern furniture at estate sales. He is currently represented as a commercial actor and model at Stone Talent Agency.
